Howdy there!
Welcome to slightly delayed iteration of my newsletter that was meant to come out yesterday. Given that we’re on the last leg of Ramadan, I had some social obligations to meet and hence was a bit tired to write something coherent before midnight. 😅
More on that below, but for now, the weekly nudge to share this newsletter with your nearest and dearest by using the link below:
Weekly update
It’s the last week of Ramadan and I’ve barely started to edit any videos or do anything on the charity project. Every year, I try to raise money for the less fortunate in our community who are sleeping rough by making regular videos throughout Ramadan. This year, I simply haven’t had the time to do so. That said, I did finally set up a donation link which I’ll match dollar for dollar so you can double your impact.
At some point this week, I’ll have to start editing the videos I’ve taken all month long and splice them into something cohesive. It all just requires a block of 2-4 hours continuous which I never seem to have these day…
More over on the blog,

Luminar Neo*
Luminar has been my go to photo editor for a little while. It’s a great alternative to Photoshop and Lightroom but doesn’t skimp on features! In fact, the AI tools and built in effects make it much faster to edit photos in Luminar Neo than ever before. If you’re looking to level up your editing, try Luminar today. Code “RAFFY” should still get your a discount.
Creative update
@photosbyraffy Instagram Reel

I’ve always shied away from Reels since… it wasn’t so much about photography but his approach was interesting so I thought I’d do my own take, like actually shooting a video as the drone was flying to get the photo…

Queensland football club: that doesn’t exist
Thanks Claire for the suggestion on this one!
Ok, so this is actually something started by someone I did my medical internship with from day 1. He’s a doctor who started this clothing brand as a joke during the pandemic and it was a hit!
It’s essentially become a sporting/clothing brand in it’s own right. Congrats Kentaro! The link is to a smart company article on how it started, but if you’re after some gear, head over to Queenslandfc.com.
